Golden State Middle School

Golden State, home of the "Warriors", now serves as a middle school for over "1100" 7th and 8th grade students in the Washington Unified School District. More changes coming for Golden State:see the 2007- K-8 Decision for WUSD Photo by Barbara Smith

Trivia History: Was built in 1962, originally named Washington High School, was the home of the "Huskies" football team and radio station KWHS 91.7 FM. It would later became Golden State Junior High School when James Marshall High and Washington High merged to form River City Senior High School in 1979.
