Everyone is getting ready for the big Opening Day Parade and exhibition innings for the West Sacramento Little League this weekend. The parade starts at 10:00 AM and the festivities continue at the park all day. Most of our friends and family will be there...and most of us who grew in West Sacramento remember this event as being one of the high points of our spring....

My family grew up around the corner from the park on Virginia Ave. Spent a lot of time there. I worked many nights in the snack bar when I was younger. Both my brothers played little league at the park. Great memories.
