Keith says "I live in Southport near Nugget and several times a week the West Sac FD does practice drills in the vacant lots behind our house. I thought it would be fun to grab a few shots and send them your way. I think its a good example of our fire department at work."

Over the last year The City of west Sacramento cut FOUR positions from the Fire Department, which put Engine 45 on Lake Washington Blvd. out of service 4 days out of 10. On Wednesday night, the City Council will vote on cutting an additional 4 positions. These actions would put Engine 45 out of service 100% of the time.
