Debbie's Hydrangea is beginning to bloom...soon these blossoms will turn beautiful shades of pink and purple. You can have beautifully dried hydrangeas by allowing them to dry on the plant before picking them. Experiment with harvesting from August through October.

Such a beautiful plant! I wish we could grow them here too... but our water does not allow us to.
Hygrangea originally comes from Japan and it is famous for the flowers bloomed in rainy season, which is around Jun/M in Japan.
I bet rainy season in Sacramento is Jan..., not Jun, from my experiece staying there.
It is good to see it in California!
