ARGES, Louis
Entered into rest at his home in West Sacramento on September 11, 2012, at the age of 90. He is greatly missed by his children Demetre and Tambi, brother Phillip, sister Katherine, grandsons Julian and Benjamin, and many relatives and friends.
Lou was an icon of the Sacramento valley. A sheepherder, farmer and businessman, he was a hard worker who made his ambitions come true. Many will remember him as 'The Pipe King,' where he was respected and admired by his friends and peers and could still be found driving his tractor and forklifts every day on his ranch.
An avid hunter and fisherman with dozens of trophy bucks under his belt, Lou spent some of his greatest years hunting the Sierra Nevada mountains all the way to Idaho and Montana.
Lou was a pioneer of his time and will be sorely missed by all.
Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service on Tuesday, September 18th at 11:00 A.M. at River Cities Funeral Chapel, 910 Soule St., West Sacramento.
