The clock tower of the Ferry Building stands above the marketplace housing the city’s famed farmers market. During daylight, on every full and half-hour, the clock bell can be heard chiming portions of the Westminster Quarters.
Dedicated to preserving a bit of history while enjoying the present in our community. I have lived in West Sacramento since 1958; long before it was incorporated as a city that consolidated the three townships of Broderick, Bryte and West Sacramento. My father-in-law, Frank Norton, was born in Broderick in 1910 in a house at 421 B Street. The West Sacramento Photo of the Day website is dedicated to him-- in memory of his magnificent stories of the old days.

Impressive and beautiful clock tower! I love the columns of graduating sizes and the serene pattern and colors of the clock face.
