The Old Bryte and Broderick and Fire Stations

I've heard that the old Bryte Fire Station on Lisbon Avenue (top) is slated to be the museum by the West Sacramento Historical Society and the Broderick Station on Third Street (bottom) will be renovated into a bar and restaurant.

Hi W. Sac Photographers,

I'm a new transplant to Broderick from Davis, and before that from Texas, so I love learning all about W. Sac from your blog. I follow your blog through Google Reader; thanks!

One minor complaint: Please resize your images for the web! They take a long time to load and this could easily be remedied. If you have Photoshop, you cans use "Save for the web" under the Edit menu, and then try different tweaks in the window that pops up. Or, if you don't have Photoshop, you could use something like XnView, a free program, and use their Export menu option under the File menu.

Sorry for the complaint, but it is an issue! Thanks again for your dedication in taking and documenting all these wonderful pictures!

PS I've been wondering what the Broderick fire station buidling is! I walk by there a lot.

I've been trying to find more info about this building. Does anyone know why or what the West Sacramento Historical Society is going to do with this building? How long has it been vacant? or is their any pictures of the inside of the building?
