The Westmore Oaks PTA sponsored a workshop by Phil Tulga-a member of the Jazz Studies faculty at CSUS.
During the "Math Science and Sound"workshop, students (and their parents) learned about the science of sound, made several musical instruments, then played them together in an exciting orchestral production. See this YouTube video for a highlight of the event.

The best way to learn, hands-on and fun!!! What a fabulous scheme.
Thanks for popping into Rabaul D P
Love this kind of creative educational initiative!
Wish I was there :-)
Years ago...there was a variety show at West More Oaks School and I remember performing an interpretative dance that I had choreographed myself...based on a
Marcel Marceau performance I had seen on TV...that would have been about 1960..
