Spencer Stout, James Marshall Class of 1964, was the fearless band leader of the James Marshall Wildcat's Band. According to musician John Zimmerman, Spencer was the lead vocalist and sax player, in a band called the Plague, Ltd. formed in 1964.

Chief Ambrose "Andy" Bertsch
Thank you Thomas Michael Bertsch for sharing these great old photos. Tom, retired Captain with Cal-Fire, is the youngest son of the late Ambrose (Andy) Bertsch who served as Fire Chief of the Washington Fire Department from about 1964 to 1978. Grampa Frank Norton served a term as Fire Commissioner with Chief Bertsch and one of his proudest moments is when they voted to purchased a Snorkle Fire Truck for our district.

Fighting Cancer: Meet Addison Sue Enos
This is Addison Enos. She is 2 and is suffering from a very rare cancer. We have created an event surrounding her fight. You can read her story here: Caring Bridge.org
On June 4, 2011 Crossfit will be holding a Standoff like none other in all of Northern California. This event is being held in honor of Addison Enos, the daughter of Carl and Amanda Enos, and grandaughter of Robin and Wally Enos (retired Fire Captain of the West Sacramento Fire Dept.)

Out of the Box!
Students from Bridgeway Island Elementary School students donated well over 3000 canned food items to "Out of the Box" a local charity with the mission to feed people - wherever possible. The Magnolia Sisters on Tour from So Louisiana
If you enjoyed the music from the movie Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood, then you would have really enjoyed the Grammy-Award nominated Magnolia Sisters performance at the West Sacramento Moose Lodge last Thursday. The members of the group are Ann Savoy, Jane Vidrine, Anya Burgess, and Lisa Trahan.
