Skygate by artist Roger Barr: This abstract sculpture near Pier 39 in San Francisco is dedicated to the memory of Eric Hoffer (1903-1983) Longshoreman-Poet-Philosopher. Eric Hoffer has been a legend and an inspiration to many of the workers who are with the Local #17 Longshoreman Union at the Port of Sacramento.
I shot this photo after Christy and I had been offered the royal treatment with lunch and a tour of the Celebrity cruise ship in the background. ~ Barbara

Interesting picture for today's theme. It looks like eagle's claw.
San Francisco has some great sculptures along the piers and the Embarcadero. Excellent choice and wonderful composition!
