The Ziggurat Building est. 1998

Construction of this 400,000 square foot office building on the Sacramento River cost 60 million dollars and was partially financed by the West Sacramento Redevelopment Agency. The building was designed by architect: EM Kado Associates in accordance with the traditional rules of the Chinese philosophy of Feng Shui. See the CalifDGS video tour below of the Ziggurat's "Secret Room".

When first built, the Ziggurat elicited many, many comments, both good and bad. Count me as one of the good ones..... I've always loved it. It's especially beautiful at night when fully lit. Budget constraints required a cut-back on night lighting, except for special occasions.

I remember when we built the Secret room and it was really a secret. We weren't allowed to discuss it. (yes there is more to the story).
I Love the look of the building when it is lit up at night. When not lit up, it doesn't look very nice.
My opinion is that when a building goes through city plan check with lights, those lights should remain on. But I understand the budget cuts necessary.
