While at Blue Blizz, we noticed they sell the tortillas I am in love with. I asked the owner about it and he says it is his wife's company. Mi Abeulita Tortilla's are delicious! You can find them at Nugget Market. The Sonoran style corn tortillas are our favorite, but the owner said the green chili corn tortillas are awesome. We bought some to try and will report back!

Phone Book Delivery??
Thank you Eric Harding for sharing this odd but true comedy shot! Eric wrote"I saw this yesterday on Jefferson. A Jaguar jam packed with phone books, if you look closely the trunk is bulging with phone books as well. It's probably only interesting to me cause I have a pet peeve about phone books."

Art in the neighborhood!
This house on Park Boulevard has a unique metal sculpture on display...we think it is a bucket from a crane, artfully plunked on the front lawn with wild flowers blooming underneath.
Per John Lucas of West Sacramento: "Hello- I'm the proud owner of this thing..

Mark and Belva Brown have managed and owned the local KFC franchise on West Acre Road for many years. These photos and awards now hang in the lobby as a testimony to their history with the company. Christy worked the kitchen and counter at KFC in the early 80's and the Brown's were her managers way back then.

Lori and Rebecca's Backyard Ornament: Pedro's Story
Thanks Lori Mathis for sharing this photo and story: "For many years Pedro sat in my Grandmother Ruth's yard at the Desert Sea Rancho's on the northeastern bluff above the Salton Sea. Growing up my Grandmother and I were very close, I spent many weekends with her after my Grandfather died, and then also when she remarried and moved out to the desert. When my Grandmother left her desert home 10 years ago to move closer to her children I asked if I could have the little concrete Mexican boy who for 20 plus years kept watch over her rancho. My sister-in-law took him, repainted him and gave him the beautiful expression he displays in our backyard. Pedro is by far our favorite yard ornament".

Singing in the rain!
Anneke Moresco captured this great shot of a hummingbird showering in the rain. Anneke reminds us that as the better weather gets here and we all go out to our yards to get them ready for the summer, remember to look before you trim trees, there are many birds already nesting.

Acura Integra Owners Photo Shoot
These Integra owners had their vehicles lined up in the Southport Town Center last weekend. They were snapping photos from all angles and directions.
Trivia: The Acura Integra is a very unique car. It is no longer in factory production, but they are still very popular and somewhat valuable in comparison to similar cars of their time. People pour in thousands of dollars to restore their Integra back to its pristine condition, and some do more than this, full motor and transmission swaps, new rims, body kits, suspension work, and other restorations are seen in cars everyday.
