Baby Barn Owl

Thank you Anneke for sending this photo of an orphaned baby barn owl being raised at the Lindsay Wildlife Museum. Anneke is a wildlife veterinarian from West Sacramento.

Lindsay Wildlife Museum is a non-profit organization that takes care of orphaned and injured native wildlife. Additionally, it has a live collection museum with presentations and other interactive exhibits that make it a great day trip destination. It is a wonderful place to learn about how to take good care of the wildlife in your backyard; they have an extensive program with something for everyone, from toddlers to avid birders. They do all this mainly with donations from the public that brings animals or visits the museum. Their website is full of information and fun stuff: http://www.wildlife-museum.org/
