Rudy's Hide Away

Rudy's Hideaway off Highway 50 in Rancho Cordova has been serving the Sacramento area for 35 years. I remember having a 16 ounce lobster tail there that was pretty good and cheap. --I've heard they have remodeled and updated the place recently; we haven't been there in a few years, but I think the graphics on their truck reflect the old Rudy's image! ~ Barbara

Trivia from Florene in West Sacramento: The original owner of Rudy's was a neighbor of mine in Rosemont, back in the early 70s. And Rudy's was one of Aerojet employees' favorite watering holes and dining spots back then.

I wonder what the picture meant to the ad agency who prepared it and what the language was like that sold it to Rudy's Hideaway? Is this their logo?

You caught the most interesting truck I have ever seen. Congratulations on your photograph.

That art looks much like a Vargas to me. There were so many 40s and 50s Pin-Up artists, but Vargas was a household name.
