This furry spider scared me this morning when he crawled up my screen. I think he is a bold jumping spider.
Rodney Maples, an old West Sac friend who now lives in West Texas, sent me this photo of his backyard tarantula after seeing our visiting jumping spider.

I'd run a mile if I saw that in my house!
Feet, don't fail me now.
Oh my goodness!
I would have suffered a heart attack had I encountered that black, fury blob of scaryness!
Great, now I'm itchin' and looking around for spiders....
Really great shot, by the way...
i just got bit by a spider like five mintutes ago and it hurts stings, itches and im scared! and the spider looked just like this one!
My husband and I just moved here last week from L.A. and we have seen spiders just like this one in our apartment every day since. We are worried because we have a five month old baby, any info about these guys?
One of those was crawling on my chair 3 days ago. 1 month ago ago I was bit by a black widow..came from OC and realizing the insects are a bit populated in Sacramento!
they aren't poisonous unless you are allergic to them. They just leave a small welt where they bite you and it stings for a few days but after that it's like you were never bitten.
