A Giant Wave hits West Sacramento
With temperatures hitting over the 100 mark, these kids really enjoyed the Giant Wave Water Slide at the West Sacramento Moose Lodge's "Gilligans Island" picnic last weekend. We even saw some of the adults venture down the slide but don't dare share those photos here!

Tommy Moose Rides Along
Every year the West Sacramento Moose Lodge members donate a number of "Tommy Moose" stuffed animals to our local Police and Fire departments. Moose International founded the Tommy Moose program in 2003 to provide police officers, firefighters and ambulance personnel with friendly-looking moose dolls to distract and comfort children in traumatic situations.

Preschoolers see "Max and Ruby" Live at The Crest
The James Marshall Preschool kids attend the live stage production of Max and Ruby at the Crest Theater last week. The show was great--and the Crest Theater is great! I admit that I had never seen or heard of Max or Ruby before....but I am now a fan.

Kids Involved During Summer Camp (K.I.D.S. Camp)

Party Fun at the Bounce Spot
Jack's 7th Birthday Party was at the Bounce Spot last week. The kids bounced themselves into exhaustion for about an hour then had pizza and cupcakes in the party room. We had kids in our group ranging from 5 months to 60 years old and we all had a great time.

ATA West Sacramento Black Belt Academy
ATA Blackbelt Academy of West Sacramento had their Tae Kwon Do testing last night and Vincent Villegas was awarded his Black Belt. ATA Tae Kwon Do currently has 85 male and female students registered for their martial arts programs and will be moving into the new Jefferson Boulevard Center later this month.

New Disney Theme Rides at Raley's

Remembering Nicholas Green
We went over to the Sonoma Coast last weekend to get out of the smoke filled air in the valley and saw this beautiful bell tower and memorial built for Nicholas Green, a seven year-old boy from Bodega Bay who was killed by highway robbers in 1994 while vacationing in Italy with his family. ~ Barbara
